There is a lot of material out there in internet land on landing pages and landing page optimization. So many products, so many services, so many evangelists.  It’s difficult deciding to whom you’d like to listen.  Since I field a fair amount of questions from clients and colleagues regarding this topic I thought I would throw out a few of my top picks for landing page resources.

Best Free Landing Page Testing System:  Google’s Website Optimizer

Google, I (heart) what Google is doing for online marketers.  If you haven’t used Google’s Website Optimizer, you need to.  They’ve made testing simple and complex variations of your content, calls to action, and merchandising a breeze.  It has never been this easy and this cheap to get significant data that helps you make more money.

Best Landing Page List: Ion Interactive

I’ve been on Ion Interactive’s list of for 10 months or so and these guys like to educate.  Check out one of their webinars or a few of the more interesting posts I’ve come across in the last few months.

Best Landing Page Book:  Landing Page Optimization, Tim Ash

There are a few must reads in landing pages.  Tim Ash’s, Landing Page Optimization, is quickly becoming an industry standard manual to education professionals on best practices, where and what to test, and how to get better results.  I recently saw Ash on a panel at LeadsCon Las Vegas and was really impressed.  His book only built on his reputation.
